Round 2 – Sunday 13th May 2007 – REVISED RESLUTS

Please find attached the revised results and Championship positions after Round 2.

Unfortunately there was an error in the adding up of Craig Schofields times and he did actually finish first overall. Well done Craig and apologies for selling you short on the day.

Thanks to Jim for bringing this to our attention and for his sporting approach as he was originally declared winner.

It is always our intention to get the results correct first time, however we are all human and mistakes can happen.

Can I remind you of the club rules relating to the results. Provisional results will be published 30 mins after the last driver has completed their final run. There will then be a 10 minute period where drivers can check their results and if necessary issue a protest / enquiry. After the 10 minute period, and once any queries have been checked/amended the results will be declared final.

Once the results have been declared final they will NOT be altered, even if an error is highlighted at a later date.

This is not being too harsh. All it means is each driver needs to take the time to check their own times throughout the day and double check them when the final results are announced.

For the next round Jane should be equipped with a computer and printer and she will be using Roy Gravestocks program for adding the times and calculating overall and class positions. Jane will print off everyones times after each set of two stages and these will be pinned up at the café/clubhouse.

I hope this clarifies the situation and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the 10th June 2007.
